Affiliate disclosure
Filmed in Korea is free to read and carries some affiliate links. This page explains exactly what that means, so you can judge for yourself how it affects what you read here.
The short version
Some links on this site — the ones presented as tours, rail passes, eSIMs or other bookings — are affiliate links. If you click one and buy something, the merchant pays this site a small commission. You pay exactly the same price either way. There is no surcharge, and no discount is withheld from you for booking directly.
Which links are affiliate links
Affiliate links appear as clearly labelled buttons or boxes — for example "Book a tour
to this spot" or the travel-connectivity box on itinerary pages. They are marked in the
page's HTML with rel="sponsored nofollow", which is how search engines are
told the link is commercial.
Plain text links inside articles — to a location page, a drama page, an official tourism site or a map — are never affiliate links.
Who the partners are
Bookings currently go through travel marketplaces including KKday and similar partner programmes, managed via the Involve Asia affiliate network. Partners may change over time; the labelling on the links will not.
What commission does not affect
This is the part that matters, and it is a firm editorial rule:
- Which locations are listed. A filming location appears on this site because it was genuinely used in a drama — verified as described on the about page. Whether a bookable tour happens to exist for it has no bearing on that.
- What the pages say. If a location is hard to reach, disappointing in person, closed to visitors, or a working school you should photograph only from outside, the page says so — including on pages that carry a booking link.
- Whether you need to book anything. Most locations on this site are reachable by public transport for the price of a subway ticket, and the pages tell you how. Tours are offered as an option, not as the answer.
Advertising
This site may also display third-party advertising. Ads are served by the advertising network, not chosen by E Ho, and appearing in an ad slot is not an endorsement. How advertising cookies work is covered in the privacy policy.
