Netflix's #1 non-English show turned Daegu into its school-action universe — most 'schools' in the drama are real, working schools, so this page tells you what you can actually visit.
1Keimyung University, Daemyung Campus
Stands in for Chukmyeong Foreign Language High School in episode 4 — the red-brick colonnade and clock tower read instantly on screen.
💡 A working school: view and photograph from outside the gate only. Do not enter the grounds — Korean schools are strict about visitors, especially during term.
3Wonhwa Girls' High School
Episode 3's 'Soyeon Girls' High School' exterior and gate scenes.
💡 Only worth the trip for completists — but local press confirmed the shoots, and the complex's rooftop garden is a legit sight in its own right.
What you’re actually visiting
Teach You a Lesson (참교육), from the hit Naver webtoon, shot its fictional problem schools across real, working schools in Daegu — which makes this an unusual pilgrimage. The rule of thumb: Keimyung University is the visitable star; the high schools are gate-photo stops at most. Suwon and Sejong fill out the non-school locations.
Suggested route
Doing this as a fan trip, base it on Daegu (KTX 1h40m from Seoul): Keimyung’s Daemyung campus in the morning, exterior stops as you like, and Daegu’s own food scene (the city is Korea’s noodle capital) as the actual reward. The Suwon Convention Center folds into our Suwon day trip instead — it’s two stops from Hwaseong on the same line network.
A note on school locations
Korean schools do not allow drop-in visitors, and residents have pushed back on drama tourists at several past filming locations. Stay outside the gates, skip school-day mornings, and don’t photograph students. The drama’s buzz is fresh — be the fan who keeps these spots open to the next one.

Which Teach You a Lesson location can you actually walk around?
Keimyung University's Daemyung Campus is the one you can walk freely — it stands in for Chukmyeong Foreign Language High School in episode 4, with a red-brick colonnade and clock tower, and it is an open university campus. The high schools are working schools, so view and photograph from outside the gate only.
Can you visit the Daehan High School classroom from episode 1?
That is Daegu Sangwon High School, but it is a working school — you can view and photograph it from outside the gate only. Do not enter the grounds, as Korean schools are strict about visitors, especially during term.
Where was the book-launch event scene filmed?
Assemblyman Ryu Gwang-pil's book-launch event was filmed at the Suwon Convention Center, whose glass atrium is unmistakable. It is a public venue, a 5-minute walk from Gwanggyo Jungang Station on the Shinbundang Line, next to Gwanggyo Lake Park.
How do you get to the Daegu filming locations from Seoul?
Take the KTX from Seoul to Dongdaegu (about 1 hour 40 minutes), then Daegu Metro Line 1. Keimyung's Daemyung Campus is near Yeungnam University Hospital Station; the high schools are reached by local bus but are exterior-viewing stops only.
